In addition to standard logos, we also create cool vector drawings for clients. Then it’s not just about vectorizing a logo, but we create custom designs. A special drawing, for example, completely tailored to the customer’s wishes. We did that with this vector drawing of a Volvo P1800. EZ Electric Power Steering uses this drawing at trade shows.

Our ‘normal work’ is pretty standard. We receive logos, from which we create vector files. But sometimes we go a step further than that. For example, if a client asks us to make a special vector drawing of a photo or image, because it needs to be printed in a large format. With this customer case we show how we work.

The assignment

We received the following drawing with the assignment: make a vector drawing of this. It is a drawing that the company once made itself, but unfortunately the vector file was no longer available. And that was not the only question: the company also wanted to make a few adjustments to the drawing. So that came in handy! When we make a new vector drawing, we can immediately include any modifications we want.

The process

When we start such a project, the first step is to redraw the image, in this case the car, in Adobe Illustrator. This sounds easy, but there are always a few things to consider. For example, we need to keep a close eye on the quality. Each line must be tight, as it must be able to be greatly enlarged later. Therefore, with this type of drawing, we often don’t get it right the first time. We need a few versions before we are completely satisfied. And of course, as a customer, you can always contribute ideas about the drawing. That is why we send several versions to the customer in the meantime. In this way the customer remains involved in the process, and we can make adjustments in time if necessary. Only when the customer is completely satisfied, we make the final vector drawing.

The result

There it is! Look at the big car banner shining at the Retromobile Fair! The perfect addition to this stand with beautiful oldtimers. As you can see, the end result is even more detailed. The customer also wanted additional explanations for the drawing on the banner. In this way, visitors to the fair will get even more information. No problem, of course! We took care of that too. And to complete the picture, we also added the customer’s logo.

By the way, did you know that we always keep a copy of our clients’ files? We have stored them in a secure environment. If you accidentally lose your vector file, you can always retrieve it from us. Handy, right?

Do you also want to have a vector drawing made?

Are you thinking now: I would like that too, such a beautiful vector drawing? Or do you need a vector file of a logo? If so, we have fixed prices. Does it concerns an image or photo? Then we will be happy to think with you about the possibilities.
